Do cooked onions and garlic give you bad breath?
I just ate a New Covent Garden Plum Tomato And Sweet Basil Soup which had onions and garlic in it. I heated it in the microwave as the instructions suggested but now I'm concerned about bad breat because I'll go out in 5 hours. I was told that if the onions and garlic are cooked, they don't give you a bad breath. Is that true? If not, what can I do to reduce the bad odor (aside from brushing and gum)? I don't have any parsley at home which is supposed to help.
I need relationship advice!?
i am in a real shitty situation. i think iv fallen for a girl who lives in another country. i am from south africa and she is from australia. we met because she is here on holiday. we met at family lunch (her parents and my parents are mutual friends) we immediately had chemistry, we drank a lot of wine and chatted all lunch, eventually we managed to sneak out to the garden and we kissed and cuddled. this lasted till midnight, i then had to go home. i woke up feeling completely blown away by what had happened, the whole thing seemed surreal, i must admit, i started to feel love for her, in ONE day of meeting her! i knew she was going to joburg for the remainder of her holiday and as im from pretoria, it isnt too far. so i added her on FB and got her cell number and we occasionally spoke a bit. she invited me to a trance party, which i went to (just for her) and we again, had an amazing time, spent the whole night together which was amazing. i then left the next morning and waited for her messages or calls. eventually after i had texted her i got a reply a day later, and then i called her and we chatted for a while. after a week of no contact neither me to her or her to me, i gave in to my stubbornness and called her, i told her how much i like her etc and we made plans to meet on monday night (the night before valentines day). i drove to Joburg to pick her up and we went to a mall and ate cake, walked around and even went gambling for fun. when we are together its like we are a full on couple, but we both know she is going back to aus in 1 week from now. our date even managed to last till valentines day (2am) in which i went back to her house and we lay on the couch and cuddled. the next day, i texted her and still nothing. that night i sent her another text, talking about a personal joke we had, this morning she replied. i replied hours later but i guess i didnt give her much to reply to because she still has not sent a text back. im highly confused by her interest back toward me? when we are together its so great, but her communication via the phone, seems so confusing and contradicting. i really do not know how this girl feels? she did say she is useless with her cell phone, so maybe thats why... but if you really like someone, usually you would make more of an effort. i need some advice from a girls perspective? i feel so completely in love, yet scared and confused. any help please?

Should i get a kitten/cat?
It is my Birthday soon, and i have had some ideas on what i want to get....ok forget that, i have no idea! D:
Before i describe what animals i have had in mind, i would like to say my environment available for pets. I currently live in a two story house, i do not have a very big garden, and no grass. I already have a guinea pig, budgies and quail. We also have a few fish. The animals are in a suitable/stable area, away from predators or other pets that may affect them, so yeah... We are not looking to spend alot of money on a new critter, and preferably low maintenance....
I know alot of places where i can adopt a cat (i would rather adopt), we have a vet down the road where kittens are available for adoption. Our fish are up high away from where cats can reach. The guinea pig is in a large secure cage, and in truth has no fear of cats or dogs (i know this sounds weird but he thinks he is a dog, dew to being raised around them XD probably don't believe me). And the birds are in a secure cage up high, and occasionally we put the cage outside. My mum has this thing about the 'odor' of cat food and litter trays. We do have a large garage that may be available to place the litter box & food in.
So do you think my home is suitable for a kitten? What can i do about the food/waste odor? And if not suitable, what can i do to make it better? Or do you have another pet suggestion?

is this normal for a baby?
im a new mother. so im learning alot about my little baby girl. Shes 1 years old. i notice a change in her appetite. she wont eat certain foods. i also notice she wont every hour as me and her daddy does.
Example: My Husband takes me out to Olive garden today at 3pm. My baby girl wouldnt eat a thing. I ate some minestrone soup and lasagna. her daddy ordered Pasta. we order our baby girl some Mac & Cheese. She wouldnt eat the Mac & Cheese so we tried to feed her what we order and still nothing. she didnt eat much in the morning. Only snacked on some apples and Bananas. We tried to feed her baby ceral, earlier in the morning before we left but she wouldnt take it.
anyways, we then order Mash potatoes, and still nothing.
so that made me worry all day.
after our lunch we decided to go walk around the mall.
went to the snack bar and order some ice cream. she wouldnt even take that! i decided to go to mc Donalds order some fries and still nothing. So Me and the husband gave up and decided to feed her when shes ready to eat. we notice shes getting sleepy from being out all day so we head home.
she took a nap at 6pm-9pm 3 hour nap. Im still worried about my baby because she wouldnt eat. as she woke up from her nap. i tried to feed her some of the left overs we brought to go. she still again wouldnt take the Mac & Cheese or Mash potatoes still! so im getting really upset and worried.
we made some chicken noodles and she still isint eating.... is this normal for a baby? any ideas whats going on? Myhusband came across some baby crackers we had and shes actually snacking on that, but i rather her eat a full meal than just snacking.
any tip of advice?

ideas on a post-apocalyptic story/novella?
Hi! I'm trying to write a basic post-apocalyptic story, but want to make it different or interesting. Here's my idea:
Basically, my story takes place inside London, both above and (primarily) below ground. Society has been firmly split between those who choose to live underground (known as "Moles") in the strict, totalitarian organization of Underground Stations known as "The Network". However, they have to fight off constant attacks from the organized raiding parties and bandits, who reside in underground stations themselves or above ground, and are named after common elements of the boroughs of London, and reflect this in how they work i.e. The Park Rangers are based out of Queen's Park, and are based at White City underground (close to Queen's Park Rangers FC's home ground Loftus Road), and are a mercenary group who delve into ruins or the city to find supplies or dangerous relics.
Also, living primarily above ground is the Collective, known as the "Surfacers", who oppose the Network and are trying to destabilize them from the inside using spies and informants to undermine their operations. Also, religion is going to play a major part, with a twisted form of Christianity being the main drive for the story.
So, my main character (who I have tentatively named "Nathaniel Archer") lives at Square One, or "Leicester Square", at a time when the civil war between the Collective and the Network is at its peak. When Covent Garden, a major trading post on the underground network, is destroyed, he is kidnapped by an extremist group called The Crazy Gang, who aim to sell him off as a slave or a sweetener in a deal with the Collective. However, he also learns that the main religous group (based out of Temple underground station) is searching for young, exuberant scavengers or travellers who are tempted to help find something called "The Relic", located somewhere in London.
That is as far as I have got - hopefully anyone can tell me what he good/points are, and how they can be expanded or changed!

There is going to be female companion, but not a love interest - more someone who, unlike the main character, has been living in the tunnels for years, without adult guidance, who is unlike many female heroines/characters in books, who hunts, kills, and has a spiteful attitude.
And I cannot think of character names. But I want them to be puns or nods to London in some way. I want it to be as interesting and unique as possible i.e. a trader called Blue Piccadilly or something like that?

How do I dig up daffodils?
When I was small, my Grandma had a lot of daffodils at our home and I loved them. I'm now almost twenty-two and I now have a house where I can plant a flower garden. I would love to go to our old home and dig up some of the daffodil plants and bring them to my own house. The thing is, those daffodils were planted by my great-grandmother and have been there all my life, so they've been there at least thirty years, if not longer. I know that plants seem to root themselves deeper and deeper as time goes by, so how would I go about digging them up without killing them? Also, how can I ensure a healthy transplant so they'll bloom year after year here like they do there?

Okay so for valentines day got two rose bushes. I've seen them growing at the garden you can buy stuff from and they didn't look like they were under any special treatment. Any home made or store bought fertilizers. Any more tips. Plz help. Sxm is a tropical climate FYI
intermediate algebra help please!?
I have a take home exam and I have NO idea how to do some of these problems so I'm wondering if maybe one of you guys can help me out. All these questions are related as well. I did the first two but I need help on the last two.
The first question is:
"A gardener has a rose garden that measures 30 feet by 20 feet. He wants to put a uniform border of pine bark around the outside of the garden. Let x be the width of the border in feet. Write an expression for the total area of the border in terms of the width x."
I ended up finding the answer as x^2+10x-600 as my answer. I can explain more if needed.
The second question is:
"Find out how wide the border should be if he has enough pine bark to cover 336 square feet. This part of the problem is to be solved algebraically. A calculator generated (graphical) solution is not acceptable."
Using the first problem as the basis for this one I came up with the expression x^2+10x-600=366 and eventually came up with the answer 26.
The third question (where I'm stuck on and nobody seems to know the answer):
"If the border needs to be covered to a depth of 3 inches and pine bark costs $29 per cubic yard, what will be the material cost to lay the pine bark border? Assume that you must purchase a whole number of cubic yards and not a fraction of a cubic yard."
The fourth question is (where I'm also stuck on):
"Now assume that you can actually buy as little or as much bark as you need to cover the border area, that is, the vendor will sell even a small fraction of a cubic yard if you want. Write an expression for the cost in dollars as a function of the width x, of the border in feet. Assume again that the border is to be covered to a depth of 3 inches and that pine bark costs $29 per cubic yard."
need ideas to keep the neighborhood cats out of my garden. They use it as a litterbox.?
Before I spend a bunch of money i'd appreciate some feedback. I was thinking of using a ground cover of rocks, such as river rocks. We live in the southwest & our yard is rock landscaped. The garden is 3 to 5 ft wide & it is along the wall & down the side wall. We've been in this home going on 9 yrs. & these last couple of months is the worst ever with the cats coming in the yard using it as a litterbox. My dog is almost 4 yrs. old & I caught her in the act of putting this "candy"in her mouth! YUCK! I brushed her teeth like 3 times after seeing that. I have nothing against cats, I've owned a couple before my dog....but they have got to have the worst smelling poop AND urine. I also didn't let mine roam the neighborhood & they lived to be 19 & 16 yrs. Anyway do you experts on here think the garden bed full of river rocks instead of dirt stop this problem?
