TEENS

1. Ok, so when Arthur's friend, I think his name is SamDaily (He's the older guy, he's kind of fat, and he's the one who gives him help and lets him use his car to pull the body out, and he's rich, and he doesn't believe in The Woman...) well, when his wife takes Arthur to the grave, when she gets kind of possessed, I don't know if it was just her lines, but shes said "Shhee--shee-- she does it, she makes us do it", does that mean that the parents are somehow directly involved with their children's death? I mean that would kind of make sense, cause at the end, Arthur, wasn't paying attention to his child and that's when the kid wandered off. 2. Is Arthur trying to kill himself at the beginning, cause he had a knife up to his throat? The thing is, I'm wondering why he got so sad at this time...I mean the boy looked like he was 5, and his wife died directly after giving birth, so wouldn't you think he'd have gotten over it by now? 3. So, why was Arthur so desperate for a job....was his company shutting down or soemthing? 4. Did Arthur's friend's (Sam) child lock his dad in that room, at the end to keep his dad safe? 5. Everyone says that The Woman in Black killed Arthur and his baby because she was grateful that he gave her child a proper burial. Was that what Arthur wanted? Did he basically want to be dead so he and the kid could be with his wife? 6. Of all the kids who died, were they all connected/related in some way? Cause the way it was shown, it just somehow felt like they were all connected. 7. So what happened with the Woman in Black. All I could understand was that the woman had a baby out of wedlock, and her sister took away the baby. The woman in black got angry and would never forgive or forget. The sister and the child got in an accident, and the sister saved herself and not the kid? So the woman in black killed herself? Im really confused? I mean i partly get it, but then I dont.... 8. Why is the cast so small? I mean there are only about 10 "main" people.......then probably about 30 more minor people/extras....I would think that a non-independant film with Daniel Radcliffe would have more "known" people, and more people in the movie. I'm sorry, im only 14 and i dont know a lot about BBC/UK Films and their stars, so if they are more well known, Im sorry if I accidentally called them unknowns.... Additional Details 9. Why does everyone consider this a scary movie.....I mean I think the "idea" of The Woman in Black is scarier then the movie. I dont really think the movie was toooo scary. It was more of a thriller/mystery. 10. They started it out by saying that whoever sees the woman in black and looks at a child, then that child will die. But they kind of never went on with that, even though Arthur saw PLENTY more kids....but nobody else ever died after he saw them? So im a little confused. (Its at that part where that little girl dies and one of the townspeople asks Arthur if he saw the little girl when she died, and he said yes, then they started blaming him. 11.I know its based on a book/and a play.......but is The Woman in Black some kind of myth? Cause my friend told me that she went to England or Dublin (I cant remember which), but she said she overheard a conversation and this child was misbehaving, and the mother said, "if you dont behave, the woman in black is coming for you." So is this like a myth/talltale/folkelore in the UK? 12. I'm pretty sure its NOT a independant film, but was the film low budget or something? Because it didnt have that many people, and it didn't have many locations, and it just....idk, it was different 13. Also- in the trailers, I know they dont always have everything in the trailers in the movie, BUT in the trailer they had one of those monkey thinks that crashed the symbols together, but in the movie they just sat still, did anyone notice that/was dissapointed? 14. Is that woman in black rhyme from the trailers a real nursery rhyme thingy? 15. Did they ever say that woman in black trailer/ad nursery rhyme thing in the movie? It kinda starts like: "Every morning in the marsh, theres a tremble in the air, but its far worse"...something like that. 16. Did u find the movie real scary? 17. What was ur favorite part? 18. Did you make any Harry Potter allusions while watching it? In my theatre, someone yelled USE LUMOS.....It was hilarious! And when he was at the train station, I was like: "he's thinking, this isn't platform 9 3/4!" 19. Do you think this is the type of movie you have to see again to fully understand? 20. Do you think there will be deleted scenes in the dvd release? 21. Can we expect a Woman in black 2? 22. Why do you think this movie wasnt rated R?

For each film which are the best and worst?

I need a good name for a psychiatric thriller?

I'm making a screenplay for a movie and I'm having trouble coming up with a title. I don't want the title to give away too much but the movie deals with paranoia, suicide, murder, mystery, relationship issues, friendship, a house and things. I was thinking a good title would be Welcome Home, but i'm not sure. Any ideas?

What are some good thriller movies?

I have recently been obsessed with thriller/mystery movies lol I fell like a detective. Some decent one's i have recently watched is 88 minutes, phone booth, shutter island. I know there are many different types if thrillers like supernatural, psychological, independent, crime, slasher. What are some of your guys favorite thrillers? "It" is a pretty good I use to watch it when I was little lol. Was never really scared of movies like that, but maybe that's a good thing :/

Some Edge of your Seat, Action Movies (please read the details)?

I'm looking for some good action/thriller/mystery movies to watch. I'm in a bit of a rut right now and sometimes you just need a good loud movie with lots of action and car chases to put you in a better mood. Just looking for good old fashioned action, no supernatural elements or superhero movies (I've watched all the batman, spiderman, iron man, inception, watchmen, v for vendetta, matrix, lord of the rings, etc movies and really enjoyed them but those aren't what I'm asking for right now). Just good old one guy shooting at the other, blowing up things, plot twists, etc. Movies I've Seen and Enjoyed (that I can remember offhand) - The Rock (I know I say I won't watch a movie with Nicholas Cage in the lead role but imho Sean Connery made it worth it) - Red Eye - Flightplan - Midnight Run - All 4 Die Hard movies - All Bourne movies - 16 Blocks - Fugitive and the sequel US Marshals - The Game - Breakdown - The Oceans movies - Se7en - Phone Booth - Insomnia - Enemy of the State - Unknown - Unstoppable - Inside Man - Speed - Infernal Affairs - Oldboy Movies I've Been Advised to See - Ronin - Heat - Under Siege -Hunt for Red October - Frantic - Firewall - Red Movies I'm Not Too Fond of Seeing - Any with Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Nicholas Cage, Tom Cruise, or Shia LeBouf as the main character

B&A

Honestly, I don't want to be compared to Dan Brown. I didn't very much like his work, but it seems as if everyone else loved it. So I really have no other way to phrase this question. How do I write intricate, "plausible" conspiracy thrillers like Dan Brown? I'm good at making puzzles(after all, my prefered genre is mystery), and I know quite a bit about history, which I can twist around to create theories. How do I use this knowledge to create a novel? I mean, where do I start and are there any essentials I should know about? Any advice? Thank you!

What are some horror/thriller/mystery movies that are mind f*cking?

You know the ones that play around with your mind and you don't get the movie till the very end,Thank you!

What is a good book by an award winning author?

Looking for a thriller (not a mystery) or humour or something. Author must have won an award.

Why do people always confuse psychological thrilles with horror films?

I'm sick of this because there is a difference, the psychological thriller includes elements of mystery and drama and deals with the personal problems of the character and it's not necessary to have blood and random killing, while the horror films are stupid they are just killing and torture.I hate it when people confuse psychological thrillers with horrors.I mean i get it when you hear psychological thriller or psycho thriller you're saying there will be a lot of blood.I personally have never been scared from a horror film

Can you guys tell me some good books to read. Age 13 +?
