How can I make a 4 foot tall volcano erupt?

For my 8th grade science final my class has the assignment of making a 4 foot volcano. I am in charge of making the whole thing erupt. My teacher wants little rocks and something of a look alike lava spewing out of the top. I've read tons of articles on the "soda bottle explosion" but I don't think that's going to be large enough. I was thinking something air compressed or spring loaded, etc. Honestly, I have no clue. Its due in 2 weeks so if anyone has any ideas PLEASE share! They will be greatly appreciated.

How long does an overdose of Xanax stay in your system?

I'm doing a "drug and germ" project for my health science 2 class, We are going over abuse of anti-anxiety and nerve medications. I've searched around everywhere for info on overdosing and can't find it. So: How long would a max overdose of this drug stay in a person's system? What is the longest it would affect them physically and mentally?

Should i go to community college and than transfer to a university ?

Hi okay so I went to the university and I ask them like what do I need to do to become a dental therapist or ordantics however u spell it something that has to with dental but not a actual dentist. She told me I could go to community college for one year and get my sciences done and than transfer and study 6 years of science but I'm just gonna get my degree in science only at the University not pre dental cause than from thier I have to transfer to another school that's dental school ! Or she said I can go to a community college and study dental hygiene cause. They have a good program from thier and I could get my career from dental hygiene ? So I don't know what to do too much school ! And too much money :0 help anyone ??

Can capillarity be used to move liquids?

So I'll just start off with: I'm a 16 year old who's not amazing at science, I clarify this to point out that A) I don't know what I'm talking about and B) I need science explained to me simply :). My science teacher was talking about capillarity, the force that allows water to move up extremely small tubes unaided and against the force of gravity. I was looking at a water feature where water was constantly pouring onto a water wheel to keep it moving, and it made me think "How does the water get back up there? If you gave it the right push, couldn't you use water to make a perpetual motion machine?" That reminded me of capillarity, and it makes me wonder: can you use the effect to transport liquids? I.e. does it require energy for capillary action to work, or will just a sufficiently small tube be enough to move a - small - quantity of water continuously with no external aid? What I'm saying is, could you use capillary action as a way of transporting water that doesn't use up any energy?

Who are important contributors to the field of optics?
